Nutritional information on Plant enzyme bromelain
Bromelain is a concentration of proteolytic enzymes derived from the pineapple plant. One of the most recent and probably most important applications of Bromelain is its use in cardiovascular and circulatory conditions. However, the most common use of Bromelain is in the management of trauma, inflammation, protein digestion, and allergies. Bromelain has a similar anti-inflammatory effect as aspirin without the stimulation of the gastric acids. The use of Bromelain following a sports, or other injury with contusion, is nothing short of amazing as the discoloration such as the black and blue marks begin to recede rapidly and are usually not visible within 36-48 hours compared to the average of several weeks. In acne, the individual often experiences a rapid clearing of the blemishes and redness within a few days. Some cases do require a more proper balance of nutrients.
Persons with high blood pressure who were taking Bromelain for various reasons for extended periods of time noticed invariably a slow and steady decrease of their blood pressure to normal levels.
